LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP & FEES

As a project management professional, full membership with AIPM demonstrates your commitment to competency and continued professional development.
As a full member, you will be able to participate in our nationally and internationally recognised RegPM certification program, and access our resources, networking opportunities, Special Interest Groups and events.
Members can use the post-nominal MAIPM and can vote at the Annual General Meeting or in elections.
The applicant must hold as a minimum CPPP Certification.
The applicant needs to demonstrate at least five years relevant experience in project management.
Cost: $390 (including GST) per year + $200 application fee
As a project management professional, associate membership with AIPM demonstrates your commitment to competency and continued professional development.
As an associate member, you will be able to participate in our nationally and internationally recognised RegPM certification program, and access our resources, networking opportunities, Special Interest Groups and events.
An associate member can use the post-nominal AAIPM and can vote at the Annual General Meeting or in elections.
Any associate member who is awarded RegPM certification at either CPPM or CPPD level is eligible to have their membership upgraded to that of full member.
The applicant must demonstrate at least two years' work experience in project management.
The applicant must have attained formal qualifications issued by a university, TAFE or registered training organisation (RTO). The level of qualification needs to be at least Australian Qualifications Framework Level 4 - Certificate IV.
The applicant has received a certification that is recognised by AIPM:
- International Project Management Association (IPMA) certification (Level C or Higher)
- Project Management Association (PMA) certification (Level C or higher)
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (PMP or higher)
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification
- Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) certification
- CompTIA Project+
- CPM from the International Association of Project and Program Management (IAPPM)
- CPM from the Association for Project Management (APM)
- Master Project Manager certification from The American Academy of Project Management (AAPM)
- PME from ICEC (France)
- CDP from APITEP (France)
- Zertifizierung from GPM (Level C or higher)

Are you interested or involved in project management but aren't a project manager?
If you are a young or new professional in project management, affiliate membership will provide you with access to current and relevant information on project management to help develop your career. You will have access to networking opportunities, Special Interest Groups and events to develop relationships with your peers and organisations that actively support the project management profession.
Affiliates of AIPM can apply for professional recognition as an associate member or member of AIPM upon satisfaction of the relevant criteria.
There are no criteria to become an affiliate member of AIPM, but this level of membership has a maximum term of two years.
Cost: $175 (including GST) per year
Are you a full-time or part-time student?
AIPM provides a wealth of resources to assist students in becoming proficient and competent project managers. Upon receipt of their qualification, students will be eligible for recognition as associate members of AIPM.
To be eligible for student membership, the applicant is required to be a student enrolled at any university, TAFE or AIPM Endorsed Course provider. Upon application, the applicant must provide evidence of enrolment.
Cost: $60 (including GST) per year
Life Fellow, Fellow and Honorary Fellow
The membership grades of fellow (FAIPM), life fellow (LFAIPM) and honorary fellow (HFAIPM) are honours awarded for exceptional contribution to AIPM and to the project management profession. Nominations and applications for fellowships are assessed by the Governance and Ethics Committee. Assessment recommendations are then passed to the AIPM Board for approval.
