The International Committee is a governance forum that exists to ensure our commitment to proactively participating as a thought leader and advocate of project management and leadership across the globe.

Australia has an excellent reputation globally and we are proud of the significant contributions of our many volunteers who participate internationally. We also seek to work closely with organisations that have regional and international operations, to help them build their internal project and leadership competence.

Our international focus provides value to Members through our participation and knowledge sharing at international forums, committees, like-minded associations and sister organisations, working collaboratively to shape the future of project leadership. The objectives of the International Committee include:

  • providing advice to the Board and management on current and emerging opportunities available internationally with a major focus on Asia
  • providing guidance on the best approach to assess these markets
  • providing strategic advice on priorities and on any pertinent international matters

Key achievements during the year include:

  • actively reviewing our membership and relationship with the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and the Board is satisfied with the value of our membership and our ongoing participation
  • acknowledgement and recognition from our international alliances that our RegPM national certification is viewed with credibility and respect
