As a modern project professional, it is essential to equip yourself with tools and resources to help you to stay current, and build your professional network, knowledge, and capabilities to drive your project management career. In this guide, Member Experience Manager, Josephine James MAIPM, explains some of the key features of AIPM membership available to members that you may not be aware of.

Consider taking part in our annual mentoring program

Whether you’re just starting out in the project profession or have a couple of years’ experience, having the support of a mentor is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge. You will be guided by a mentor, matched to you, to help you step into a more senior role, gain certification, or simply navigate professional challenges. Mentorship provides you with real-world knowledge and insights that go beyond the textbook, and fosters connections with senior project professionals, empowering you to make better decisions and grow your career. Applications for the 2023 program open in October 2022, so subscribe to find out when registration opens.

Explore our OnDemand webinars

Our AIPM OnDemand platform is the perfect place to reinforce your skills and learn about the latest concepts in project management through webinars and presentations. AIPM members can watch many webinars for free, which you can find under the ‘Previous events’, ‘Webinars’, and ‘Communities of practice’ channels. If you hold active RegPM™ certification, webinars are a no-fuss way to accumulate some of the 70 continuous professional development (CPD) points needed for recertification, with each video holding 3 CPD points. Try to set aside some time each week to catch up on a webinar.

Keep your technical skills in check

As a leading advocate for project professionals across Australia, the AIPM is proud to utilise the Praxis framework, which is available through the member portal. You will also find a series of helpful resources, tools, and templates as part of your membership.

Attend a project leadership workshop
