Peter Moutsatsos

Chief Projects Officer, Telstra

Peter’s focus as the CPO is to advance project management at Telstra, which includes effective project sponsorship at all levels, lifting project management capability, improving project mobilisation and more proactive project assurance.   Peter’s responsibilities also include evolving delivery frameworks, methods capability and execution consistency, whilst embedding more adaptable approaches.

Peter joined Telstra in 2014, initially as the Wholesale Portfolio Head, before becoming the General Manager of the Telstra ePMO.   Prior to joining Telstra, Peter was the Principal for Projects and Assurance for BHP Coal, overseeing a $15B portfolio.  Before BHP, Peter was a Management Consultant and has also spent 14 years as a Project Manager in Banking, IT, Professional Services and Investment Management services.    Peter holds an IT degree and an MBA both from the University of Queensland and also holds a PMP accreditation and CPPE certification.
