The Chair of the Board of Directors of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) announces today the departure of the Chief Executive Officer, Sid Gokani. Mr Gokani resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), which he was appointed to in May 2021. Mr Gokani’s last day with the AIPM was 25 November 2022.

During Sid’s tenure, AIPM delivered a record financial surplus through disciplined financial management, growth in membership and RegPM™ certification, and strong attendance at our two conferences.

AIPM Chair of the Board, Ms Elena Zagorenko expressed her sincere thanks to Mr Gokani. “Sid’s time as leader of AIPM has been of significant impact on our organisation and we wish him well in his future endeavours,” she said.

The process of recruiting a successor will begin immediately to find a CEO that can lead the company on its continued growth journey. “We will be seeking a CEO to lead the Institute through its next phase of growth. I will ensure we maintain trust, will encourage two-way communication and will cultivate an open relationship that will set up AIPM for success,” said Ms Zagorenko. Until a replacement is found, AIPM’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr Simon Kaleski will step into the position of Acting CEO immediately.

As the peak body for project management in Australia, the AIPM remains committed to continuing to deliver its suite of products and services to the high standards our members expect, through this period and into the future.
