The Australian Institute of Project Management’s (AIPM’s) Mentoring Program, available exclusively to AIPM members, will enable you to break through barriers to progress in your project management career.

You will be supported by a mentor, matched to you, to help you step into a more senior role, gain certification or simply navigate professional challenges.


How to apply for 2024 Mentoring Program

To nominate yourself follow the steps below:

  1. Download the 2024 Mentoring Program information kit.
  2. Pay the mentee registration fee here.
    • Note: If you are applying as a mentor, there is no registration fee, please proceed to step 3. If you are nominated to attend by an Organisation Member, Partner or Premium Partner, please wait to hear from your organisation’s contact where you will receive a link to fill out an application form.
  3. Register your details with our mentoring partner, Art of Mentoring, to help us match you with a mentor/mentee.

Mentoring annual key dates

  • Applications are now open and close on 8 December 2023
  • Matching process: January 2024
  • Confirmation of matches: February 2024 
  • Program duration: February–October 2024

Who is the Mentoring Program for?

Our project management Mentoring Program offers a powerful relationship between a mentor and a mentee. As a mentee, we pair you with an experienced project mentor, who will give you support and guidance for your professional development and growth.

Become a mentor

Develop your mentoring and leadership skills

Becoming a mentor will enable you to reflect and give back to the project management profession, while growing your reputation as an advisor. You will be able to develop your mentoring and leadership skills, learn to communicate clearly to someone outside of your usual network, and gain new perspectives.

It costs nothing to become a mentor, although you do need to be an AIPM member.
